How do I add adopted or step-children to my online family tree?

If you build your family tree in Family Tree Builder, please read the following article: How do I add adopted or step children in Family Tree Builder?

To show an adoption in your online tree:
1. Click the View Profile button.

2. Click “Edit Profile”.

3. Click on the My Family section. In the drop down menu “Relationship to parents:” select “Adopted Child”:

4. Click the Save & Close button to finish. Click the Save & Continue button to continue adding information to the profile.

Please note that currently it is not possible to show step-children in online trees.
