The geographical area of West Prussia as it was delimited in 1939 is now part of Poland.<br>This collection include many type of records, including birth, baptism, marriage, death, burial and other events.<br><br>"I think the great-grandparents came from the area of West Prussia or something like that... but I cannot give more accurate information...”.<br>Such a sentence was probably heard by most family researchers.<br><br>There are some entries, which may sound duplicated, originating from different sources with different spelling of name and/or place.<br><br>When looking for a name, please consider similar spellings (Names with Umlaut: ä can be looked under ae, ö under oe, ü under ue; names with double consonants can be written with only one consonant or change, e.g.: Rossdeutscher/Roissteuscher, Cluge/Kluge) and the like.
